The American College of Surgeons (ACS) is pleased to launch the AI & Surgery Policy Series, convened to address the AI policy questions that matter most to surgery. The series aims to build shared knowledge in this space, giving surgical specialty societies a foundation for shaping AI policy and, potentially, developing their own policy principles.
The first session focuses on transparency and ethics, examining questions of consent and AI/clinician divergence as they apply specifically to surgery.
